Bank Notes from First National Bank of Waynesville

“The last thing I have are two Waynesville bank notes. They only made them two years: 1902, I believe, and then 1928. They're rare-to-find, the Waynesville First National Bank had them printed. The large note that I have from 1902 is signed by J.R. Boyd—he was not the president of the bank at that time—and the cashier signature line is left blank. Ordinarily, these bank notes would be signed by the president of the bank and the the cashier of the bank. On the second note, Dr. Way's son, J.H. Way, and J.R. Boyd have signed the bank notes.”
